Promenade along the shore of lake Mjøsa

A wide path suited for walks as well as bicycling has been established from Mjøsparken and towards the north along the shore. The path is perfect for anything from family outings to romantic strolls, and it is easily accessible for both pedestrians and bikes. The promenade follows lovely bays in Botsenden, where you can dip in for a quick swim along the way. Or maybe you bring a packed lunch and stop for a while at Strandbakkstranda – a natural beach just off the path.

The river walk

The river Brumunda runs right through the town centre of Brumunddal. The river promenade connects the lake Mjøsa and Mjøsparken with the town centre of Brumunddal. The walk along the river Brumunda is pleasant and easily accessible. The promenade is paved, well suited for wheelchairs, and designed with spots for fishing and several seating arrangements. Take a detour into one of our shops or cafés as you pass through the town centre, and enjoy a day in Brumunddal. The river path continues on gravel along the river upstream from the town centre, and makes for a good hike if you want to walk further.
